Green Valley Renewable Energy Limited (GVREL) is a joint venture between NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), established on August 25, 2022.
The prime objective of GVREL to develop renewable energy parks and projects by utilizing the water bodies and land available with DVC and contribute to India’s clean energy transition.
GVREL is currently working towards the development of 755 MW Solar PV Projects across the states of Jharkhand and West Bengal, primarily on DVC's reservoirs. Of this total:
• 705 MW will be Floating Solar PV Projects, and
• 50 MW will be Ground Mounted Solar PV Projects.
These projects use cutting-edge technology to maximize energy output while conserving land resources, demonstrating GVREL's commitment to sustainability and innovation.
By leveraging both water and land resources, GVREL is positioning itself at the forefront of renewable energy, paving the way for a cleaner and more sustainable future.
