Ownership: A 50-50 Joint Venture between NTPC Green Energy Limited and AP Govt.’s NREDCAP(New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh).

Establishment:The JV which is initially incorporated on 06.02.2025 with registered address at : Door No- 12-464/5/1, RIVER OAKS Apartments, Industrial Estate(Krishna), Vijayawada (Urban)Krishna-522501, Andhra Pradesh started functioning since 06.03.2025 from the office at 48-15-8, 1st Line, Nagarjuna Nagar, Sri Ramachandra Nagar, Vijayawada-520008, Andhra Pradesh.

Objectives: 

  • 1. Development of Renewable Energy Projects comprising of Solar/Wind/Hybrid with or without Storage upto 25 GW capacities.
  • 2. Production of Green Hydrogen to the tune of 0.5 MMTA and green derivative(Green Ammonia/Green Methanol etc) through suitable mode.
  • 3. Development of Pump Hydro Projects upto 10 GW Capacity as per the identified locations in the State

The JV is incorporated with an objective of establishing 25 GW of Renewable Energy in Solar/Wind/Hybrid. AP State Govt. has already issued G.O, allotting 4 GW and land acquisition is under progress. Efforts are on to get another G.O issued for further capacity addition in line with the stated objectives.

 

Latest Updates / Any other information

Identification of lands in Ananthapuramu and Sri Sathya Sai(SSS) districts is in progress, as G.O dated 18.03.2025 is already issued for 4000MW.

Towards the fulfilment of the JV's long-term objective of developing 25,000 MW, the process of identifying suitable land parcels in other districts, such as Prakasam, is actively progressing. APNHAL is making sustained efforts in carrying out the necessary groundwork prior to the issuance of the Government Order (G.O.), in addition to the already allotted 4,000 MW capacity, as on date.

Regular meetings with District Collector, RDO and Tahsildars are being conducted to expedite the collection of land availability details, prior to the issue of G.O for lands in Prakasham district.
